Rachel Lob-Levyt is an award-winning documentary maker known for her ambitious, emotionally intelligent films that bring large audiences to important and often difficult stories. Her work combines journalistic rigour with cinematic storytelling, and much of it centres on building close relationships with contributors in sensitive environments.
Her documentaries have been recognised by BAFTA, the RTS Journalism and Programme Awards, and the Grierson Trust. Her recent work includes Emma Barnett: Fighting Endometriosis, The Search for Nicola Bulley, and Louis Theroux Interviews. Her Channel 4 documentary 24 Hours in Police Custody Investigates: Zombie Knives has defined the style of a new factual strand.
Rachel began her career in current affairs before moving into documentaries where she cut her teeth on much loved observational formats such as the Louis Theroux series and Hospital.
