EMMA BARNETT: FIGHTING ENDOMETRIOSIS

EMMA BARNETT: FIGHTING ENDOMETRIOSIS

In this deeply personal documentary, Emma Barnett explores her lifelong struggle with endometriosis - a disease affecting one in ten women of reproductive age, which causes excruciating, often debilitating, pain. Travelling across the UK, she meets women whose lives have been profoundly affected, with access to specialist clinics, surgeries and fertility treatment. Challenging doctors, scientists and politicians, Emma investigates why the disease remains underfunded and poorly understood despite its prevalence. As her own condition rapidly deteriorates during filming, she is forced to confront difficult, life-changing decisions about her future.
