Rachel Lob-levyt is an award winning director who makes ambitious and compelling documentaries which bring big audiences to important stories. She makes layered films with purpose while keeping the complexity of human experience at their heart. Her visual and tonal approach is authentic and cinematic.
Her work has been recognised by BAFTA, RTS Journalism and Programme awards as well as the Grierson Trust. Her films consistently receive positive reviews with four and five star write ups. They are also highly rated - The Search for Nicola Bulley was one of the top three most watched factual programmes on the BBC in 2024.
Starting her career in current affairs and then moving into documentaries to work with Louis Theroux, Rachel made her break as a director when she was selected for the BBC’s New Director’s Scheme.
Her latest project, a single for Channel 4 will broadcast later this year.
